Hand-warmers for Robby

Well, this was all Robert's idea - I sewed these little pouches up for his poor cold little hands. Better than driving to Walgreens at 12:30am for gloves? He thinks so :)

They are filled with white rice. Stick them in the microwave for about 30 sec, and you're good to go.

The bag I made for Tracy's niece

A lady I work with wanted me to make her niece a bag "girly" bag for christmas, and this is what I came up with.

THE SQUIRREL!

We have lots of squirrels around the yard, lots and lots. A few weeks ago, I looked out the bedroom window and saw this squirrel digging around in the leaves, and it was the funniest thing because it looked so human.

We also have lots of citrus fruits lying in the yard because of the grapefruit and orange trees. I caught this squirrel flying up a tree with a little orange or tangerine.

the little bugger finally stopped moving! got him!

I think this is the human-like squirrel... I didn't catch it in any human-like pose, though. Another day perhaps.

Home Improvement - First Installment Aftermath

the front of the house, trash plants and fence pulled out

here is the lonely side of the house, and we will proceed this way around the back of the house.

Dave chopped down the orange tree, with the box of rat poison in it. I think Robert and Kevin took care of the smaller tree and accompanying wooden stake.

This is our old toilet - the one that came with the house when we bought it. When we replaced it, its new home was the front yard. Neighbors didn't like that, so they reported us to the city. Anyway, Kevin salvaged it as an awesome planter for his bamboo and rosemary plants. Neat, huh?

This WAS the pretty grapefruit tree that was right outside the back door.

This is the tree, after a trimming.

Home Improvement - First Installment

Robert, Kevin, and David have been working hard outside: chopping trees, ripping up fence, taking out trash plants, creating a mess for good reason.
